What happens next if we pass the UPSC test? What takes place throughout the course, and what the compensation scale is. As has been the case for the past two years, the UPSC Civil Service Exam results are released within a week after the interview process is complete.
The UPSC announces the cut-off marks following the release of the results. This cut-off includes the combined (or total) cut-off and distinct cut-offs for the preliminaries and main exams.
Only those who meet the requirements are sent their mark sheets when the cut-off is announced. The grades earned in the preliminary, main, and interview exams are all listed in full on this mark sheet. The Prelims exam answer is then announced by the UPSC preparation institute.
The distribution of services among candidates on the merit list is now decided by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). This procedure requires time. The allotment may take 4-6 weeks (after the results are announced).
Phases are completed in the allocation procedure (or rounds). Not every applicant receives an allocation in the initial round. Those whose names are printed against the list on the DoPT website do not receive an allocation in the first round. These candidates might need to wait a little longer to receive the allocation.
There are several reasons why candidates may have their names brought up against them. The candidate may not be medically fit, insufficient documentation, etc. After each round, the number of candidates will drop as these problems are fixed.
After the selection procedure is complete, DoPT distributes formal service allocation letters to each chosen candidate by mail and email.

When Do You Receive an Allocation Letter?
From this point on, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) looks after candidates. This organization starts the Foundation Course registration process (FC). All of the individuals that were chosen have registered for this course.
You can ask to be excluded from the Foundation Course during the registration process. You must choose a legitimate justification for doing this from the alternatives provided during registration, such as:
- Medical problems
- Previously finished the FC
- Ready to retake the Civil Service examination, etc.
Within a week or two, the candidates who are willing to join FC receive their appointment letters. The Controlling Cadre Authorities send appointment letters directly to those who choose to forego this training. Their training for their unique service then begins.
Candidates are sent to Mussoorie’s Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration for additional instruction. They receive training here on how to exercise their powers responsibly and carry out their tasks.
All of the applicants (probationers) are taken on a tour of India after the Foundation Course is finished (Bharat Darshan). Their particular instruction then begins. Phase I (15 weeks) and Phase II make up this training’s two phases (6 weeks).
Depending on the Cadre, pay scales may change. It might be anywhere from 50,000 and 2.5 lakhs per month. These employees also receive all other perks, including housing that is free of rent, PF, a pension plan, access to medical facilities, etc.
