Marvel Movies Ruined Forever By The Worst Endings – Superhero movies have really taken over as one of the most popular movie genres over the past ten years. Luckily for superhero fans, Disney has taken notice and is constantly adding new content to the Marvel Universe to please their fans. However, with so many titles, it can be difficult to accurately portray years’ worth of comics into a condensed version for film.
For comic book fans, the compromises that need to be made are more glaring. Here are five Marvel movies that really missed the mark and are ruined forever by the worst endings. From Iron Man, to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Guardians Of The Galaxy, these movies could have been better.

Release Date: February 14, 2003
Overall Daredevil wasn’t a bad movie, but the ending completely ruined any excitement the movie generated. We’re puzzled as to why Marvel decided to warp speed the ending with Bullseye, Kingpin and Elektra fight scenes when other Marvel Universe movies do the opposite and go as far as overplaying them.
It felt like the movie could have used another hour, but maybe that part of the budget got cut out last minute. If a warp speed ending didn’t leave a bad taste in your mouth, lack of a final resolution will. Marvel painfully inserted a last second set up to a sequel they’ll never release in the last few minutes.
2. Iron Man
Release Date: May 2, 2008
Iron Man is loved by many and actually is a great movie. Dare we say it’s one of the best in the Marvel Universe due to it sticking to it’s storyline and not trying to be more than what it is for the sake of building up the Marvel Universe. However, the villain in the movie, Obadiah Stane, absolutely does not feel like a villain at all. The character does not instill fright, terror or even the slightest bit of intimidation like a villain should. It feels as though Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski from The Big Lebowski made a trolling cameo as a villain in the outtakes as a joke.
3. Guardians Of The Galaxy
Release Date: August 1, 2014
Don’t get us wrong, we love the Guardians Of The Galaxy and it is an amazing movie. However Marvel opted for more fight scenes over storyline yet again. The movie is nearly an hour and a half long and if you got up or looked down at your phone at the wrong time; you could’ve easily missed that Peter Quill is part celestial!
The movie just glossed over the fact that Peter is one of a whole bunch of dead half siblings that got the celestial gene and Starlord will lose his new celestial powers when they kill Ego the Living Planet. This little tidbit of information was integral to how he held the infinity stone for as long as he did. Peter just threw his celestial powers away like nothing.

4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Release Date: May 2, 2014
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 just did not hold up to the rest of the Spiderman series. While the movie itself wasn’t that bad, the ending was a huge let down. From villain overload to the death of Gwen Stacy, the movie really overwhelmed and depressed audiences everywhere.
This movie has so many more villains than an ordinary Marvel or Disney movie that it’s overwhelming and hard to keep track of.. We get Electro, Green Goblin, Rhino, the Gentleman, Alastair Smythe, Doctor Octopus and Vulture. This simply too many villains crammed into one movie. With this many they could have easily slowed down the plot and had another edition to the series. As for the death of Gwen Stacy was going to happen either way somewhere in the Marvel Universe, but it was a shock to the majority of viewers that haven’t read any of the comics before seeing the movie.

5. Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer
Release Date: June 15, 2007
Fantastic Four as a franchise is also really great, but what happened to Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer? Not only was Silver Surfer reduced to his surfboard was inaccurate at best. While yes it set the scene that was intended, but Silver Surfer is actually the source of his own power, his board is just imbued with it. This was lost in the movie and a complete let down for true Silver Surfer fans.
We might have been able to work past this Silver Surfer bunder but making Galactus as a huge cloud for Silver Surfer to fly into was just dreadful. The ending lacked imagination and nearly ruined both characters in the process.
